*Do not send money
*Number your letters
*If you have patterned stickers (even the "Hello my name is..." stickers) add them on top of the taped edges of the box/envelope. It's easy to see if it has been tampered with. If sending a box tape the inside flaps of the box shut (along with the outside) and tape the corners.
* If possible send package in padded envelope as boxes tend to be taxed quite a bit.
*Don't declare a value over $100 ever.
*Don't mark camera/electronics on box
*Label package as "education materials, school donations, personal effects, used clothing..."
Package Ideas :)
*Just letters in general, I want to hear from everyone
*Drink mixes such as gatorade!
*Some delicious candy
*Books and Magazines!
*Seeds for vegetable and flowers to make a garden
*Pictures
*Stickers/pens/pencils... things that my students would like as rewards
I graduated from the Univeristy of Evansville with a degree in Chemistry in 2008. Not wanting to start my career right away I decided to try and make a small difference in the world by joining the Peace Corps and teaching secondary science to the deaf in Kenya.
